OFF ROAD LEVEL-4 TRAINING
Adventure Expedition
Our Level-4 training program and provides a baseline of both knowledge and experience for real adventures in the real world.
We highly recommend that you undertake this training only after accumulating substantial relevant riding experience.
This training serves as both the culmination and the integral component missing in Adventure Rider Training. The program is a blend of expedition readiness, education, and vacation. It is a genuine adventure that unfolds in the ‘real world’, in contrast to the meticulously controlled environment of our training school. To add to its appeal, this this is one cool trip as well.
This program is driven by two primary objectives. Firstly, we aim to equip you with a comprehensive understanding of what it means to be prepared for backcountry travel. Secondly, we strive to provide you, the rider, with a benchmark for your skills. This allows you to gauge your abilities as you navigate the real world, helping you discern what adventures are currently attainable with your skillset and when it might be prudent to turn back.
What to Expect from this program:
The ride is challenging! You’ll encounter diverse terrain from deep sand to rock ledges and rock gardens, pushing your riding skills to the limit. The aim is to help you identify and comprehend your limits (when you need assistance and when it’s time to retreat).
As for what to bring, if you’re serious about global travel, we recommend bringing all your own gear to get accustomed to the trail’s weight. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, and air mattress)
- Tools, air pump, tire repair equipment, etc.
- Any other items necessary for self-sufficiency on the trail.
The expedition will typically take place over six nights and Seven days and be supported by a 4×4 support truck.
Our program includes several clinics, designed to transition riders from everyday riding to expedition riding. We offer introductory clinics on First Aid, Tire Repair, and Navigation, among others. While these provide a basic overview, they significantly enhance your awareness of backcountry riding essentials. We’ll delve into topics such as packing the motorcycle for off-road adventures, setting up tents and sleep systems, field cooking, motorcycle maintenance, and self-recovery. These clinics aim to equip you with the necessary skills for a safe and enjoyable adventure riding experience.
